August Recap

I am a horrible blogger. I used to be so good at it and had so much desire to update it frequently, but then I went and had a second child and now I have no spare time. Blog is definitely last priority. Since I'm so far behind, let's go all the way back to August!

We went to my grandparents' lake house in East Texas one weekend and had all sorts of fun. It was nice letting them get to spend some time with Lincoln and Lexi without anyone else around. It's hard to get to know people when there are so many others around! Normally, we only make it to their house when the whole family gets together. These days, that means 27 people (and their dogs. literally)!

We went to the "beach" one day.

I buried Lincoln in the sand. He pretended to be a Mer-Man.

Lincoln was brave and rode on the tube for the first time. He loved it!

Another weekend, we went to Medieval Times as a birthday present for Lincoln. He loved it (we all did)! I can't wait to go back- but not til Lexi's old enough to go too. Lexi stayed with Great Aunt Penny and Great Uncle Gary while Scott and I took Lincoln to the show. Lexi sure does love her greats!

Instead of buying a cheap (and uncomfortable!) nap mat for Lexi to take to Mother's Day Out, I made this. It took quite a bit of time, but it was easy. I love it!


I headed to College Station to help out with my sister's baby shower.

Me, Mitsi (sister), Anissa (Mitsi's friend), Laurie (Mitsi's friend), and Candace (sister-in-law).

More birthday stuff for my boy! We had a party at the park. He wanted a Transformers cake this year.

So that was our August in a nut shell. Hopefully I will post September soon.
