New Header!

After having the same pictures of my kids (and our whole family) on my header for MORE THAN A YEAR, I've finally updated it! Slowly but surely, this blog is getting a bit more TLC. I think my kids have changed just a tiny bit since the pics in the old header. The pic of Lincoln was 20 months old, the pic of Lexi was about 14 months old, and the pic of our family was 2 years old! Now they're all new :)
I am working on our old computer (which we were without for more than a year, thanks to incorrect information from a not-so-great computer repair place) today so I don't know when I'll get to post the rest of October. I have to back up everything from that computer and restore everything back to factory settings. The, I'll have to update it to what we want. It is probably going to take me most of the day. Oh well- Scott is going to fold all of the laundry for me since I'm doing this for him :)
Have a great Wednesday!

October, part 1

To make up for the fact that I hardly took any pictures in September, here is a month that is going to have to be broken down into 2 or 3 blogs! LOTS of photos of October. Let's get started.

We made a visit to the local pumpkin patch. We spent way too much money on gourds, but also had a fun time before we headed home.

We caught the hayride and I got some pretty cute pics.

This girl ADORES her Daddy! And what an amazing Daddy he is! I couldn't ask for a better man to share this wonderful adventure with!

I just love this boy. He looks so much like his Daddy but his personality is 100% me! He is a TOOT!

Lincoln called this our "family pumpkin". Click on it for full view, it's much cuter that way.

Lincoln's pumpkin was a storm trooper (a la Star Wars) and Lexi's was Dora. They were cute, but HARD to make!

Lincoln and I made the 5 hour drive down to visit his new cousin, Mae. He loves her!

He checked out every finger and toe to make sure she's perfect. She is!

We went to the zoo one weekend.

Lexi was less than thrilled to have her picture taken.

Stay tuned for October, part 2!

SEPTEMBER!

I don't know why, but I didn't take many pictures in September. It was a crazy month. The kids were in school, I participated in a local children's consignment sale, I started work on a local high school musical (I do the music direction and vocal instruction), etc, etc, etc.

Lincoln got in trouble at school a couple of times (for talking- go figure) and had to shovel cow poop every time it happened. He's been much better lately. He says he thinks shoveling poop really helped.

Lexi started Mother's Day Out (yes, you DID just hear The Halleluiah Chorus! I have two days a week to myself!!!) and she loves it. She insists on wearing her backpack on her back (duh) and her lunchbox around her neck, just like in this picture, every. single. day. One day I tried to show her how to carry her lunchbox on her shoulder and she FLIPPED OUT! I decided to pick my battles and she continues to carry it like this :)

My sister Mitsi and her husband Josh had their first baby on September 26. Little Mae Louise came into this world at a whopping 5 lbs 14oz. She is such a sweet little thing!

We took advantage of the warm weather while it was still around. It is slipping away quickly! My kids sure do love to blow bubbles, so we did a lot of that in September.

Lexi loves to play dress up. She has several different outfits and her grandparents even keep dress up clothes at their house for playtime. She is such a girly girl (although she's extremely accident prone, rowdy, and tough).
