2011 Family Pics

My cousin Holli took our family pictures this year. They turned out so great! She did such a great job of capturing our personalities!
I can't believe how big our kids are. Scott and I are so blessed with amazing children. I know everyone says that about their kids, but ours are truly some of the best. Lincoln will be 7 later this month. It is so hard for me to wrap my head around that! SEVEN!

This man is the most amazing Daddy. I am so blessed to be on this wonderful journey with him!

Both of my boys look so happy, closed-mouth grins and all :)

He wanted two boys and no girls. You should see him with this girl! He's learned all about princesses and playing dress-up. Sometimes he even participates. :)

This girl simply adores her Daddy.

My heart is about to explode!

This picture so perfectly describes out relationship. We butt heads a lot, because our personalities are exactly alike! I adore this boy!

My snugglebug. I want her to never get too big to snuggle with me.

What can I say? I'm a happy Mom!

All boy, this one. He's very caring, sweet, compassionate, and generous- but he is ALL BOY!

Cutest kids ever? I think so.

STOP GROWING SO FAST!

Thanks for taking our pictures, Holli! We love them!

Happy Birthday, Lexi!

I am so ashamed! Has it really been FIVE months since I have updated this thing? I have totally become one of those people. I won't promise I'll be better, because we all know I probably won't! Oops?
This blog post is about the most special little lady in my life. She makes me laugh, smile, cry, cringe, and sometimes she is really good at elevating my blood pressure. My girl is smart, funny, a little crazy, fearless, loving, snuggly, defiant, spirited, loud, beautiful, stubborn, and friendly. She loves to play with everyone. She loves to make others laugh. She loves to scream when I'm not looking and try to blame it on her brother so he will get in trouble. Ah, siblings.
Happy THIRD birthday, Lexi Suzanne. I just can't get enough of your fun little personality!

Just an hour or two old... Our first photo as a family of four.
Our girl was so tiny... 6 lbs 6 1/2 oz of perfection.

Lexi's first birthday and her first cupcake. Can you tell that she loved it?

This was right before her second birthday. I just love that cheesy grin!

We always go to Chuck E. Cheese to play games for our babies birthdays. Lexi had so much fun!

She sure was proud to have a birthday!

She is excited to be 3, but she has a bit of trouble remembering that she's not 2 anymore.

Happy birthday, my love! I am so glad God has trusted us to take care of you! I know he loves you so much and we do, too!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday, my amazing husband and I celebrated 7 years of wedded bliss. I am so crazy about this man and I am so blessed to be his wife!
This picture was taken on February 20, 2004, at our rehearsal dinner.
(click on the picture- it's awfully cute!)
I doubt he will ever read this, but I just want to say that I LOVE YOU SO MUCH and I am SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY to be your wife! I can't wait to see what our future holds!

October, Part 2 (FINALLY!)

October seems like a long time ago, but I'll do my best to recap the second half of the month.

We went to my cousin Anna's wedding in Oklahoma City. I made all the food for her bridal breakfast and, if I do say so myself, it was pretty dang. I didn't actually get to eat much of it, but I assume that's a good thing, since it means that apparently everyone liked my stuff.

I made The Pioneer Woman's CINNAMON ROLLS and they were a-maz-ing!
Way too much butter and sugar for any definition of healthy, but seriously delicious. AND they're pretty easy. You should make them soon! (It makes about 50 cinnamon rolls and I freeze them all before they get a chance to rise. That way, I can take them out of the freezer, let them rise and bake, and have fresh baked cinnamon rolls anytime my family wants them.)

I wanted to get a picture of all the food, but by the time I got around to it, the table looked like this. One completely empty platter, one mostly empty platter, and a pumpkin pie dip-filled pumpkin without any pumpkin dip left in it.

Lexi couldn't stay awake for the entire drive home. She doesn't look very comfortable!

My boy is such a great traveler. He watched his portable DVD player and stayed quiet pretty much the entire time. He has been a good traveler his whole life. Look how cute he is!

One day I got home from musical rehearsal, and saw this in Lincoln's doorway.

The boys were having a party in Lincoln's room!

HALLOWEEN! Lincoln was a super awesome Spiderman and Lexi was a very cute fluffy white kitty.

Spiderman and Nana!

Our cute family. Lincoln is a weirdo.

So. Dang. Cute.

I LOVE this picture!

Lincoln did a great job teaching his sister how to trick-or-treat.

I am sad that this is the best picture I got of my babies and me. Scott doesn't know how to use my camera very well and had it on the wrong setting! Oh well. Better than nothing!

WHEW! Ok, there's October. Let's see how long it takes me to get around to November!
